The day we went to Texas, which I think was the 4th, we had some excitement in our neighborhood. So we were eating a lunch late and in the background my husband and I heard sirens. It was nothing at first because we hear then often. (On the Main Road) But then all of the sudden we hear a helicopter motors and a shocking bang and the lights went out. JJ get up and runs to the door when he looks out the window. There was this silver SUV that was smoking. JJ saw two people running to the back of the neighbors house (One was an Officer!) I freaked out told him to lock the door. When the crash happened John-David got scared and started crying because he saw that JJ and I were scared. So we tried to be happy and cheer him up but it is surprising how much little kids sense our fears. You can see the top of our mail box in the above picture.
If you look close the car that is on the left side is a cop car (left of the firetruck) This is where the silver SUV tried to turn on the road. This is also my other neighbors front lawn.
Better picture of where the chase came from.
Come to find our that this was a High speed chase that had started in Holt. The Helicopter was trailing the guy and there were two undercover agents that were chasing him. I am assuming that it was a drug bust of some kind. It was pretty exciting.
This picture was taken after everything happened. They had two sets of dogs there but we never saw them out of the car. This guy had the fun of staying here until the tow truck came for the
suv. I wanted to see the dog, so
JJ asked him if we could see the dog. He let us then we got to take a picture. You can see the pink bandage on his foot, she got hurt tracking he said. I thought it was cool but I am weird like that. LOVE DOGS!!!
