More Pictures!

We went to the McWayne Sicence Center on Tuesday. It was alot of fun this is my parents trying to see who could relax more. Both my mom and I won over our husbands and then her and I tried to do it and it mostly stayed in the center. Us women know how to relax I guess..
This is our hand prints and in the middle is little John Davids feet. it is really hard to see them but they are there.

John David was not to happy to see Grandma and Grandpa leave. He was Crying just like his mom!

He loves his baths! His embilical cord feel off on sunday night so tonight is the first of the real baths.

He loves to Arch his back and hold up his legs to his butt. He does this every time I pick him up it is kinda funny.

3 Weeks Old!

My baby boy is so big, He is 3 weeks today! It has gone by so fast!
My parents also left today, it was soooooo sad! every time I think about it I start to cry.
SO at our Two week appointment John David was 9.2 LB and 21 inches long. He gained a full pound in a week that is 2 ounces a day. If we keep that up we are going to be pretty chunky. :) He is starting to get a double chin. It is amazing how much I love this little guy! He is very strong and the doc said we could already start doing some tummy time. He came out keeping his head up. We talked to the doc about his finger and she said that she would make the appointment with the Plastic surgeon and give us a call. Well when they called the plastic surgeon they would not even see us until he is 6 months old. So put it on your calender that on Sept 16th at 1:00 we have an appointment with the plastic surgeon! I was very surprised that they actually scheduled it that far out. All in all we are doing very well!

This is his extra little finger. It just stays under the other thumb so it is hard to see unless you are really looking.

My baby!

Ok so here are some recent pictures of my baby and Grandparents. John David has had an infected yucky eye so we have not taken to many lately! It is clearing up so we will be have photo shoots probably daily! (maybe even some with his mom)....

For those of you that do not know John David has a 6th finger. It is on his right hand on his thumb side. They took X-rays at the hospital to see if it is a bone or just cartilage, we have not seen the results yet. we will know more by the end of the week. We will have to get it removed because we think it will interfere with him using that hand correctly. The doctor we saw on Friday said that she recommends that we go to the Pediatrics Plastic surgeon in Birmingham. She said we should probably wait till he is at least 2 months old. We learned that it is Hereditary from JJ's side.

1 Week old!

It is Crazy how fast time flys when you are having fun!! I love my little guy!! He so sweet. We have had some Belly Ruben problems this week but today it finally went down! yeah I am so happy that they don't have to make my baby bleed anymore! It was so sad I cried! My Version

So this is what I looked like on Sunday and then me sometime at the hospital.

I thought that I would have had a ton more pain to let me know that I was in labor. Well that didn't happen at all. So I woke up at 2am and thought it was very early for me to have to go the bathroom, so I went and came back and noticed that I had a bit of Back pain. Nothing out of the ordinary for me so I noticed the time and thought if it doesn't go away by 5 i will wake up JJ. So I am laying there and Stretching trying to make the pain lessen. I turn over on my back and about 5 min later I hear a pop. (earlier that day my mom and I were talking and she said that she HEARD her water pop before she felt anything. I thought that was very weird!!)So I heard a pop and then felt a pressure change below... So I got up and made it like half way to the bathroom before I started leaking water....... I TRIED to call for JJ like 10 times before he responded (He thought I was screaming but that was after like 5 min of me calling him so I probably was yelling by then but I was pretty calm, just really surprised at what had just happened) ANYWAY... I showered and told JJ what I needed him to get around. So I called my mom and was like what do I wear... Just go to the hospital was her response..... umm ok... so off we go. Anway... After that everything pretty much happened like JJ said below... I felt so good once I got the epidural they did actually take a nap. Pushing was a lot harder then I thought it would be we pushed a total of about 2 hours.. all in all it was a pretty good time! I will do it again sometime down the road I am sure...

The Newest Loden on the Block

To those of you have heard, and those of you that are still waiting we have wonderful news. Feb. 20th 2008, JJ and I had the most amazing experience! Yes Yes, the birth of our little baby boy Loden. Of course JJ and I had thought about some names for him before we came to the hospital, but it wasn't till we held him and looked at how cute he was before we knew what his name was. (And then we changed it about 5 times) So here is the story of what happened!!

Dad's Version

Woke up from a screaming wife 3:00 am

Realized what she was taking about 3:10 am

Started to Panic and run around like a crazy person 3:10.05 sec

Joane called her mother around 3:15 am

She took shower and got dressed 3:25 am

I put everything and everyone in the car 3:35 am

Arrived at the hospital and dropped Joane off at the ER 3:45am

(For those that our Expecting, Fathers should do test runs during all Hours of the day-

Notice time to hospital 10min - Time to hospital will be different during daylight hours)

Joane was put in Room around 4:00 am

Joane was tortured by the I.V. nurse sometime between the hours of 4:30 and 5:00 am.

(Really it took that long for then to actually put an I.V. in her)

Blood work came back around 5:30 am and the talk about the Epidural soon followed.

Epidural was giving around 6:20 am with a few doses of potosen. (Speeds up the contraction)

Called work to inform then that I wasn't going to make it today or the rest of the week. 7:00 am

(I think I was replaced around 7:30 am)

Took a short nap for 7'ish to 10:00 am

Record the most amazing Miracle in my entire life 11:29 am

GOOD NEWS

So we had our Dr. appointment today! it was a good thing because I could not wait another day! I finally know that all this back pain is doing something! I am dialted to a 2 and 1/2 and 80% efaced... YEAHHHHHH!! He said we are looking great and could go anytime! I am very happy with that. Here is a pic of what I looked like last night... not that it has changed that much since then..

Dr. Appointment

So today we had another Dr. Appointment. you would think it would just be pretty boring stuff about now but nope always something new. Just to recap at 33 weeks I was measuring 2 week bigger then normal, Dr. said I would probably be just fine this next appointment soooooo no biggy right? hahah First I gained 7 1/2 pound in 2 weeks!!!! CRAZY!! I am soooo upset about that it totally threw me for a loop! Next I am not even sure how big I am measuring this week the Dr. didn't tell me but wanted to let me know that I had a big baby in there and we needed to start thinking about how to get this thing out... hahaha... We both Blame JJ for this big baby! He had us do another ultra sound to see how big he acutally was measuring. The DR said he would not be suprised if he was already an 8 to 10 LBS.... CRAZY (keep in mind I should still have 5 weeks till I am due)So we did the Ultra sound and it is FOR SURE (no doubt about it) a BOY!! It also is a full size baby at 7.9lbs Due on the 20th of Feb. according to the size.... The DR was acutally supprised he thought he would be bigger. Which is good news for me! So he said I could have this baby anytime now! Dr. will check me next week(if we make it till then)to see if and how much I am dialated. He said if I think I am in labor I probably am even if I think it is too early. He said to come in anytime I think I am . How am I supposed to know?? haha I am new to this part! On Sunday a sister in my ward (Kelli Richins) told me that she gives me three days to have the baby. She said she could see it in my face. hahah I laughed at that and now it is not so funny anymore. My next appointment is on the 14th because he is out on Mon, Tue, and Wed of next week. I just hope He is there when the baby comes... So needless to say I am getting everything ready.. Stressing just alittle... I am supposed to have more time right... hahaha... We still have not picked a name yet and probably won't until we meet each other.. I will update again on whatever comes first (Dr. appointment or baby)

Bread and Rugs...

So today we decided to make Banana Bread. I decided to make the recipe in our bread maker book and JJ found one on the Internet to use since we had like 6 banana's that needed to be used.. here are the results..

So JJ's was pretty good and looks more appetizing then mine does! I do not think I will make banana bread in the break maker again unless I use a different recipe!

A couple of weeks ago I promised you all pictures of my new rug! Well I finally got around to taking it. This is in the baby's room.

Aniversary/ 33 Week Appointment

So today is our two year anniversary! Can you believe it? I sure can't! First thing this morning we had our Dr. Appointment. The Dr. said we have had a perfect pregnancy so far! I was very happy about that. I have gained 14Lbs so far and am very happy about that! The Baby's heart beat didn't sound normal to me when they were taking it but it was just a lot faster then normal, He said it was nothing to worry about but you know me. We are also measuring about 2 weeks bigger then what I should be. He said that is nothing to worry about either and I could be back to normal next appointment. Dr. could not tell if the baby's head was down yet or not but he did not feel his head up either..So hopefully we do not have a headless baby....My next appointment is on the 4th of Feb. We decided we really didn't have the money to do anything very exciting for our anniversary, so we decided to go to Birmingham and finally get the Baby Car seat and Stroller. It was fun. We were at Babies R Us for like 3 hours. I will post a picture of it when we get it out of the box.

So I am a slacker at updating this thing. Hopefully I will be better when I have the baby and have fun pictures to post.

Anyway lots of stuff has happened since the last post.

1st Thanksgiving! We went to the Lodens house with lots of family and had a great time!

We also had our first baby shower! It was great! Mama Loden took us all to lunch and to a movie! Below is picture of all the girls that could come.

JJ finished the semester with flying colors!! Good Job JJ!! We decided that JJ is not going to go to school this semester, He is going to find a Job and then be around when the baby comes to help me out!

We also went to UT for Christmas and had lots of fun! My Parents got a game called ticket to ride. It was alot of fun but very frustrating for me(on the last two games we played anyway.)

We also had an awesome baby shower at my moms house.

JJ had lots of fun playing in the snow! They made a cool looking snowman & snowlady! Makayla had to make sure it was a girl!

We also played lots of WII! The Grandkids were beating all of the grown ups at bowling. It was great! This is Hunter trying to play. He wanted to be playing with the big kids but he is still to little.

Been Busy!

So Life has been kinda busy lately. I can't believe it has been a month since my last post. I am sure I will get better at this when the baby comes. Nothing to much has changed I guess we are boring or something. I can not believe how fast the Pregnancy is going by. I am six months Pregnant!! CRAZY~!

So Last weekend I decided that My little boy could not have a purple bathroom! I hated it since we moved in and we have never got around to painting it. So Last weekend JJ went to Iowa to see his nephew get blessed and I stayed here and decided to paint. Here are the before and after shots.. I am not sure I like the fish so keep your eyes open for some cute wall stickers..

New Bathroom!

So besides painting the bathroom I also put up the Christmas Tree. We bought this new tree after Christmas last year when it was on clearance for like 75% off. I was very excited to put it up even though we will not be home for Christmas. Baby was scared when I was putting it up and moving it around but when I was done she found her self a new spot to lay. ( I think it was because of the soft tree skirt.. Thanks to Jessica)

Great Weekends!

So we have had a very good weekend these last two weeks. First last weekend the 12th & 13th We went to IL to see my sister and her cute little new baby.

Isn't he CUTE!!

Of course JJ was tired out from all of the driving and Preston (2) wanted to play with him. So here they are watching Elmo together! ( yes those are pretzels on JJ's shirt. Preston is trying to share with him!)

~ Then this weekend we went to some yard sales and found this dang cute High Chair for a good price.

And we finally put the crib together and moved my sewing stuff out of the babies room.

Those are some clothes that I could not pass up this weekend shopping.

It is official!

So we had our Dr. appointment today! They did an ultra sound and found out that we are officially having a..... BOY!!!! Surprise surprise! We really thought it was a girl so we were very surprised to find out it is a boy! The Doctor said every thing looks perfect, and we are right on schedule. We are very happy about that!!

We are now looking for more boy names! Please let us know if you have any suggestions.

Update I guess......

So I was told to update everyone on the pregnancy. It is going well, our next appointment is on Monday so we are excited about that. I have not been really sick so I am extremely gratefully for that! I have not felt the baby move yet, so I keep waiting and hoping for that. We went to a consignment sale that was HUGE yesterday! We got a Jumper thingy that hangs in the door and a front carrier and maternity clothes. That was pretty fun! JJ took a Picture of me on Sunday and you can see I am starting to look pregnant. Really that is all there is to update you on (Brandy) Check out the names we are thinking about let me know which one you like the best. This is me trying to suck in... Doesn't work that well anymore.
